Let’s make a record, day 3
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008All drums and guitars are DONE. I’m so tired. It was a long and eventful day. Everyone in the house is asleep already, and it’s only 11:30 in Philadelphia. Everyone but me.
In other news, tomorrow we play with some awesome bands at The North Star. Fuck yeah. Come on out, it’s Nick’s birthday. You know Nick. He designed our shirts.

Making a record, day 2
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008What a day.
We made some real strides. All drum tracking is done and about half of Mike’s guitars are in the can. Tomorrow Mike finishes his guitars and we’ll try to get through all of James’.
Then we’re off on Thursday for our North Star show. We’re very excited for this one. Then bass, keys, and vocals over the weekend. Woo.
Once the recording is wrapped the hard part starts. What do I mean? I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out. I’ll give you a hint: it has everything to do with alien technology.

Making a record, day 1
Monday, November 3rd, 2008Ladies and gentlemen, we’re making a record.
We’ve been playing these songs out for a while now and are psyched to finally put them to tape. This time around recording is being overseen by the always awesome Justin Wolf. You may know Justin from The Extraordinaires and Lux Perpetua.
On a side note, thanks so much to everyone who came out to our Hamilton Lanes show last week. We had a blast! It was awesome meeting all of you and can’t wait to get back out there in January with Friends For Hire.
More tomorrow!

Fell Off the Blogging Horse
Tuesday, October 21st, 2008OK so we haven’t blogged in months which as far as blogging is concerned is eternity + 1. Whatever. I’m over it. The fan is getting over it. We can move on.
Since July the band decided to get a keyboard player. We put out an ad on Craigslist.org and found James Saul. He’s a real tough guy. A loose cannon. A romantic. A man’s man. A sophisticated killer. A nurturing guardian. And now, a keyboard player for Kill You in the Face. He also plays guitar in the songs (or parts of songs) where a keyboard part would suck.
We also started on some new songs and will be recording some of these songs some time around the the first week of November.

A little bit of this and that.
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008We here at Kill You in the Face like to keep a pretty regular schedule. It’s a pretty simple one, too. On Mondays and Wednesdays we get together at our hideout in South Philadelphia and make a great big noisy commotion. (more…)
